William “Gene” Roberts, 54, of Starkville, has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred Saturday evening at Chandler Park Apartments on Reed Road.
Around 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a reported stabbing at the apartment complex. Police determined that Roberts had been involved in an argument that escalated into violence, leading him to stab the victim. The injured person was airlifted out of the area for additional medical treatment.
Roberts fled the scene before authorities arrived but was later taken into custody without any issues. He now faces a charge of aggravated assault.
