Man Accused of Robbing Same Circle K 7 Times Arrested in Denver

DENVER — A man accused of robbing 10 Circle K stores — including the same location seven times — has been arrested by Denver police.

According to an arrest affidavit, Darius Williams began targeting the same Circle K back in October. He would enter the store, sometimes wielding a knife, and demand cash from the cashier.

The robberies followed such a predictable pattern that authorities eventually planted a tracker in the stolen cash in an effort to locate him. Although Williams triggered the tracker in January, he managed to discard it before officers could reach him, the affidavit states.

His luck ran out on March 4 when a patrolling officer witnessed one of the robberies in progress and arrested him on the spot.

Williams is now facing charges in connection with 10 robberies that reportedly netted him around $600 total.
