Roofer Arrested in Volusia County for Scamming Customers Out of Thousands, Deputies Say

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A local roofer accused of defrauding customers out of thousands of dollars is now behind bars, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office (VSO).

Roofer Charged in Roofing Scam

Deputies arrested 43-year-old Andrew Ingram, the owner of Busy Bee Roofing, on Saturday night. Ingram was wanted on multiple warrants related to scams where he allegedly took large payments from customers and failed to complete the promised roofing work.

He was booked into the Volusia County Jail, where he remains in custody.

A Pattern of Fraud

Authorities said Ingram had been wanted since April after he allegedly took a $21,000 deposit from a customer in Port Orange and never did the work. He was also accused of taking $9,000 from another customer in Edgewater under similar circumstances.

This isn’t Ingram’s first run-in with the law—he was previously arrested in 2014 for stealing $2,200.

Victims Urged to Come Forward

The Volusia Sheriff’s Office Financial Crimes Unit is actively investigating and looking for others who may have been affected. Deputies urge anyone who believes they were scammed by Andrew Ingram or Busy Bee Roofing to contact them.
