Five Injured After Car Hits Pedestrians and Pole in Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. — Five people suffered injuries after a car struck them and then crashed into a pole in Stockton on Sunday afternoon, according to the Stockton Police Department.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 500 block of West Sonora Street.

Authorities said the vehicle hit five pedestrians, all of whom sustained non-life-threatening injuries, before colliding with a pole.

The driver, a 62-year-old man, was found unconscious inside the vehicle. First responders administered Narcan, which revived him.

Police say DUI may have played a role in the crash, though the investigation remains ongoing. At this time, there is no indication the pedestrians were intentionally targeted.
