The president’s leadership team will discuss whether to switch to a pass/fail grading scale in a meeting tomorrow (March 25).
In an email, Edgewood College Interim President Sister Mary Ellen Gevelinger said this decision would also require input from faculty.
This email was sent to Edgewood sophomore Marie Ruth Treleven, the student who created a petition urging the college to implement pass/fail grading.
“I wanted you to know that we are already in the conversation,” Gevelinger wrote, “and tomorrow will decide whether to move the question forward to faculty.”
Treleven said that after receiving a response from the president, she is hopeful that Edgewood administration will “do what is best for the students.”
