CSP Seeking Hit-and-Run Driver Who Killed Cyclist in Boulder County

The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) is asking for the public’s help to locate a suspected hit-and-run driver who allegedly struck and killed a cyclist in Boulder County on Sunday.

Just before noon, troopers responded to a crash at 95th Street and Avocet Lane, where a cyclist was hit in a suspected hit-and-run incident.

According to a news release from CSP, the driver of a blue Toyota Highlander with Colorado license plate DTSG89 allegedly hit the cyclist and then fled the scene. Authorities believe the vehicle continued northbound on 95th Street after the collision.

The SUV likely has heavy front-end damage and is missing its windshield, CSP noted.

The cyclist, a male who has not yet been identified, was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The CSP urges anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to call dispatch at (303) 239-4501 and refer to case number 1D251939.
