‘Hate You Forever’: Family Speaks Out After Surprise Man Arrested in Wife’s Killing

SURPRISE, AZ (AZFamily) — A Surprise man is facing charges after allegedly killing his wife with a baseball bat and fleeing to northwestern Arizona earlier this week.

Brandon Gregory, 56, was arrested in Mohave County for the murder of his wife, 41-year-old Alison Gregory.

The case began Wednesday when Surprise police were contacted about Alison, who was reported missing after she failed to pick up her mother from the airport.

Officers arrived at the Gregory residence near Loop 303 and Peoria Avenue and found signs of a physical struggle inside the home. A small drop of blood was discovered in the hallway, prompting a search for the couple’s vehicles—a Subaru Ascent and a Ram 1500 pickup.

Court documents revealed the couple had separated and were going through a divorce.

Investigators found Brandon’s truck abandoned near Prasada Parkway and Waddell Road, about two miles from the home. Inside were a notebook and luggage—but no trace of Alison or her vehicle.

With help from other agencies, authorities eventually located the Subaru at Burro Creek Campground near Route 93 in Wikieup. Inside, they found Brandon and Alison—she was deceased in the backseat.

Brandon told police that their house was in the process of being sold and that Alison had asked him to leave. According to court paperwork, he claimed the argument turned violent after she kicked him in the groin while holding a baseball bat. He admitted to taking the bat from her and hitting her multiple times as she ran through the house screaming.

He said he tried to administer CPR when she stopped breathing. He then wrapped her body in carpet padding, loaded her into the Subaru, and cleaned up the blood in their home. Police say he placed the cleaning supplies in the car as well.

Brandon reportedly drove his truck to a parking lot, took an Uber back home, and later drove the Subaru to Wickenburg. On the way, he threw Alison’s phone and Apple Watch in a gas station trash can. Once at the campground, he disposed of the bat in a nearby field.

Inside the Subaru, investigators found an apology letter Brandon had written to his children, asking for forgiveness.

Family Devastated and Demands Justice

At Brandon’s court appearance on Friday, Alison’s family delivered emotional statements.

“Brandon murdered our sister and devastated our family,” her sister said. “He left two children motherless. He stole a beloved sister from three siblings and a daughter from loving parents. We are completely devastated.”

She explained that Alison’s teenage daughter and college-aged daughter are now without their mother, and the family is left to support them. She urged the court to deny bail.

“He took her life just as she was about to divorce him and start a fresh chapter. Please keep him locked away from our family and society.”

Alison’s brother described Brandon as a manipulative liar.

“He lied and manipulated his way back into her life. The guy’s entire life has been a lie. He’s a manipulator and a murderer. Don’t ever let him out again.”

Alison’s mother, visibly emotional, called Brandon a coward.

“Alison struggled so hard to get away from him, and she was so close to it. He took her away from us,” she said tearfully. “He is such a coward. If he wanted to kill somebody, why didn’t he kill himself? Brandon, I hate you forever. I hope you never, ever, ever get out of prison.”

Brandon faces charges of second-degree murder, manslaughter, tampering with evidence, and concealing a dead body. His bond was set at $2 million, cash-only.

The Wickenburg Police Department, Arizona Department of Public Safety, and Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
