Long-dormant Homecoming back on campus

Edgewood College alumni, as well as their families and friends, are invited to a no-cost four-day celebration on campus after a many years’ absence.

The event will run from Oct. 19 to Oct. 22.

Reservations are due Oct. 6 at https://www.edgewood.edu/alumni/homecoming

Thursday features a Student Kick-Off Party from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday homecoming officially begins with Homecoming Check-In from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Predolin Lobby and an outdoor movie from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the Wingra Terrace. The Women’s Volleyball plays Rockford University at 7 p.m. at the Edgedome.

Saturday features brunch & bingo from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Washburn Heritage Room. There is a Friends & Family Scavenger Hunt all day.

The Alumni Tailgate takes place from 10 a.m. to noon in the Regina Parking Lot and a Women’s Volleyball Game from noon to 2 p.m. against Marian University at the Edgedome.

In addition, guests can sample a Cornhole Tournament and Frozen Custard from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Regina Parking Lot. The Homecoming BBQ starts at 4 p.m. at Regina Parking Lot, and the Gary Oftedahl Retirement Party runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm.

Homecoming concludes on Sunday with Homecoming Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Chapel and Friends & Family Farewell at 11 a.m. in Washburn Heritage Room. Edgewood’s Choir Performance starts at 2 p.m. at the McKinley Performing Arts Center.
