DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) — A Jersey City man is facing charges after allegedly fleeing from police during a traffic stop in Denville Township last month.
On April 24, officers attempted to pull over a silver motorcycle traveling eastbound on Route 46. Instead of stopping, the rider sped away, according to police.
After an investigation, authorities identified the motorcyclist as 35-year-old Chananya S. Rosenthal.
Rosenthal turned himself in to the Denville Township Police Department on May 8. He was charged with eluding and issued multiple traffic summonses, including speeding, careless driving, reckless driving, driving without liability insurance, and operating an unregistered vehicle.
He has been released pending a court appearance.
