WYOMING, Mich. — A man arrested during a 2024 child exploitation sting in West Michigan has pleaded guilty to multiple charges.
Jack Leland Draper, 35, of Wyoming, entered his plea on Wednesday as part of an investigation led by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office Human Trafficking Task Force and the FBI’s West Michigan-Based Child Exploitation Task Force (WEBCHEX).
The sting operation involved law enforcement posing online as minors. Out of the seven men arrested, five were from Michigan and allegedly engaged with fake accounts, sending and requesting explicit photos and videos. Two suspects even drove in an attempt to meet what they believed were minors for sex.
The five Michigan men arrested were:
- Jack Draper, 35, of Wyoming
- Justin Hastings, 40, of Comstock Park
- Samuel Durham, 36, of East Grand Rapids
- Thomas Ramsey, 66, of Wyoming
- Jason Burgess, 40, of Colon
Thomas Ramsey previously pleaded guilty in December 2024.
On Wednesday, Draper pleaded guilty to two felony charges:
- Accosting children for immoral purposes
- Using a computer to commit a crime
He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 7, 2025.
