The Center for Journalism Ethics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites Edgewood College students, faculty and staff to attend a free journalism ethics conference on how to create a just future.

This 13th annual conference, put on with support from Craig Newmark Philanthropies and the Evjue Foundation, will be held Friday, April 29, at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, 330 N. Orchard St., across from the university’s Union South. Registration is required.

This conference entitled, “Centering Equity: Journalism, Ethics & a Just Future,” will address ethical dimensions of inequity and injustice, from various perspectives including new media professionals, and non-profit news leaders.

The organizers invite all those interested to see the conference web page, or contact Krista Eastman, the administrator at the Center for Journalism Ethics, at krista.eastman@wisc.edu with questions.

Registration for the conference can be found here, and is currently open.

Students, faculty and staff can read the conference’s full press release here.
