The entrance to Edgewood on Woodrow Street will be closed for construction beginning on Monday.
Mike Metcalf, director of security and transportation, sent the following email:
“Due to the construction project on Woodrow Street set to begin Monday March 6th, the gate at Woodrow Street on the Westside of campus will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic to the Dericci loading dock and the Stream on Woodrow Street may not be possible on occasion. Please try to avoid using Woodrow if possible.
Parking on Woodrow will be limited if not eliminated by the City of Madison.”
The City of Madison’s website said that the project is expected to last until the end of June, and that the focus will be on the cul-de-sac area of Woodrow Street.
The bike route along Woodrow Street and Edgewood Drive will also close, but a detour will be posted for users.
